80s Star Dawn is Poppin’ Off! (feat. MC Pippy Fresh)

Hey. How you been?

It’s been a minute since I dropped new artwork here, and not a New York minute either. We’re talking a Minnesota minute. With AI prompt-jockey accounts pooping out mass-production fan art every three seconds, and would-be tyrants trying to choke out liberty for the marginalized, and commercial juggernauts milking workers and customers alike, and two wars going on, it’s hard to find the impetus to draw things, but I arted today. Dang, that got unexpectedly real!

But the point is, I had today off work, and I drew Dawn and her short friend exuding their biggest Robin Sparkles and Snow energy. I got back on my game: girly fashion with a little tongue-in-cheek goofiness. And it was fun! I enjoyed pushing the pen and tapping the stylus, and despite our problem-wracked world, there are still many things to rejoice about. So sing a song, dance around, put wraparounds and a sick lid on your penguinesque gladiator animal, and get a little silly. Hope yet remains.

Read more

Lego Mecha Mania: More Mobile Frame Zeroes

Mobile Frame Zero Lego mecha model, Underbite, equipped with twin-linked Xarelto cannon, ventic field projector, and scoot jets

The Mobile Frame Zeroing continues! I’d like to share with you my MF0 company: presenting the BIOHOV (Bipedal Independent-Operation Heavy-Output Vehicle) squad for desert bandit gang The Red-Jaw Jackals. Yes, of course these are part of my post-apocalyptic magical sci-fi tabletop RPG world of goblins and reptile people. Did you entertain, even for a second, … Read more

Mobile Frame Zero: Tiny Giant Robots Made of Lego

Mobile Frame Zero Lego mecha models, Neon Colossus and Scrap Striker

I have a new hobby. Mobile Frame Zero is an open-source tactical wargame played using mecha made from Lego. Ever since I heard about it from Penny Arcade in 2012, apparently (dang son), I’ve been meaning to get into it. A handful of weeks ago, I finally dug my old Lego collection out of the … Read more

Social Control and Social Media

First: my annual hosting bills are coming due, so thanks to all you who support me on my recently-resurrected Patreon. Over the past decade, I’ve come to terms with how unlikely it is that my creative endeavors will ever pay me a living wage, but they can at least pay for the cost of making … Read more

Shirts from a Person: God Loves Trans People and Never Punch Down

I didn’t make the shirt designs below with Pride Month in mind. In fact, I created the God Loves Trans People design back in like February. But Pride Month is almost over, and these two shirt designs both relate to cutting oft-marginalized minority groups some respect as human beings, so I wanted to share said … Read more

Clobberin’ Time – Leviticus 18:22, 20:13 – Dark Chocolate Book

Today’s Chocolate: Alter Eco Classic Blackout Today’s Passage: Leviticus 18:22, 20:13 I took a mental health hiatus from my Bible study blog, Chocolate Book, in October of 2018. I’d been making my way through Exodus, and once or twice I’ve tried to resume where I left off, but couldn’t write the post. So, instead, today we’re hopping … Read more

Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition Gunslinger Artwork: Morrigan in Action

Or, in which I almost immediately prove myself a liar. What kind of a quitter posts a Quitter’s Manifesto, only to turn right around and draw the very art that he swore was nigh-impossible to bring himself to create? Anyway, y’all remember Morrigan, my current D&D character and trick-shootist-turned-gunfighter. I used a Heroforge model as … Read more
